High wall and sidewall stabalisation was carried out using F.R.G.(Fibre-reinforced gunite)in conjunction with meshing and lacing.

Huisriver Pass
Installation of rock fall netting was used along with rockbolts to provide a means of support for any future displacement of the rock-strata.
Olifantskop Pass
Rock netting and sprayed concrete was applied to stabilise side rock slopes which were slipping, causing rockfalls onto the R32 highway.
Tweefontein
Fibre-reinforced sprayed concrete was apply to the high wall and side walls of this large box-cut to allow safe access to underground mining during the 15-year life of this mine.
Witkransnek Pass
Fibre-reinforced sprayed concrete to prevent rock erosion was applied; also rock-fall netting on the more severe slopes to prevent loose rocks from falling and blocking the highway.
